The Laboratory Section is licensed as Level II and is capable of performing Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and other laboratory procedures within the limit of its license. It also performs confirmatory test and other laboratory examination for the diagnosis of certain diseases such as, Slit Skin Smear for Leprosy and Acid Fast Bacilli stain for Pulmonary Tuberculosis. The laboratory staff is on-call after office hours for emergency cases.
The laboratory has a Blood Station that ensures availability of blood and blood components to patients. It is networked to Bicol Medical Center Blood Bank through Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
